Would like like to help implement new ideas and improve South School? We now have a way to do so - the South School Council. The South School Council representatives will help our principal, Tracy Crowley with the following key tasks:
1. Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards;
2. Identifying the educational needs of students attending the school;
3. Reviewing the annual school building budget; and
4. Formulating a school improvement plan.
The South School Council will be made up of South School parents, teachers, and "other persons drawn from such groups or entities as municipal government, business and labor organizations, institutions of higher education, human service agencies or other interested groups, including those from school-age child care programs." South School Council will have four (4) parents, four (4) teachers and one (1) community member.
